PRN Pro Home Service LLC is a Southern Illinois-based business, owned by Candy Rogers, focused on providing compassionate, non-skilled personal care services that help individuals remain safely and comfortably in their homes.
The company assists clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, mobility assistance, and household support, with a strong focus on maintaining independence and quality of life for the individuals they serve.
The business entered the government contracting space through participation in the VA Community Care Network (prime contractor - Optum), helping expand access to care services for veterans in the region. While the owner had no previous government contracting experience, they were introduced to the Illinois APEX Accelerator at SIU through a recommendation from another individual already using the program.
After connecting with the Illinois APEX Accelerator at SIU, the business received guidance navigating what initially felt like an overwhelming process. Assistance included SAM registration support, small business development guidance, and help understanding the VA Optum Community Care Network contracting process. The business grew from generating approximately $860 per month to over $4000 per week within just a few months and is now actively
serving eight clients.
The company plans to continue expanding services throughout Southern Illinois while pursuing additional government contracting opportunities. Long-term goals include expanding operations into multiple states and establishing an additional office in Florida.
